Helen Dewhurst has worked alongside Ochre House since 2022, helping to rebrand the organisation and design its logo — rooted in themes of earth, circles and the ancient symbolism of hag stones. Her ACE-funded multidisciplinary practice sits at the intersection of sound, data, social justice and the body. During OH OH OH she leads workshops in making art alongside one another — collective over individual.
Helen is an artist and designer whose projects initiate dialogue between the body, technology and environment, creating space for reflection on societal issues, bringing people together through collective experience.
Often developed through extended periods of research and engagement with the local environment and community, her work includes sculpture, sound, installation, photography, performance and experiential live encounters.
Helen is part of a local studio collective of artists at APEC Studios, based at Industrial House in Hove. She facilitates a socially engaged artist group Social Circles @social__circles and works as a digital designer via ALALA Design Studio.
She also supports the creative initiatives and community engagement at Ochre House.
