Founded and managed by Sam McCarthy, and co-curated by the artist Laura Seymour, OH OH OH is a vision twenty years in the making — a haven where art and human development meet.
A place where creativity and care sit alongside one another, where process matters as much as outcome, and where visitors are welcome to simply be.
Works are not for sale, but cross three weekends in May, we invite you to slow down, to look, to feel, and to experience art as it lives and breathes inside a therapeutic space; woven through the rooms, connecting across practices, speaking to one another.
Our artists explore themes of nature, identity, humanness, folk, storytelling, and the way creativity emerges through community, through the support and witness of one another’s practice. From fledgling artists to veteran creators, this is what a creative community looks like.
Meet some of our creative practitioners as well as the artists as we weave dance, movement, drama and yoga (with life drawing) through the space, inviting you to engage in workshops and a chance to contribute to a community tapestry. Pull up a chair, enjoy some tea and cake in the lovely environs of Cambridge Grove, and chat about anything and everything that Brighton, AOH and a beautiful May has to offer.
